OLYMPIA UPDATE
Excerpted from the Independence Seaport Museum newsletter The Masthead

The First deadline in the OLYMPIA transfer process has passed. The museum has received applications from six organizations. We are excited that there are so many organizations interested in OLYMPIA’s future, and we look forward to working with them.

OlyRepair work continues onboard the OLYMPIA as more patching projects take place along the wind/waterline. Most are not as dramatic as the metal “band-aid” that was bolted on in July, but all help to strengthen the hull and give the OLYMPIA more stability until she can finally be hauled out and repaired in dry dock. She remains open to the public from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.

Keep up with news on the OLYMPIA throughout the transfer process.
